Yes, the official fees set by Transport for NSW (listed in the table above) already include GST. Your provider will not add GST on top of these prices.
What Are the Re-inspection Fees?
If your vehicle fails the inspection, you will receive a "white slip" report. You have 14 days to have the defects repaired.
- Free Re-inspection: If you take the vehicle back to the same provider within 14 days, the re-inspection is free.
- Paid Re-inspection: If you go to a different provider or wait longer than 14 days, you will have to pay for a new inspection (the "Defect Clearance" fees in the table).
Do Mobile Providers Cost More?
Mobile pink slip providers charge the same official inspection fee (e.g., $51 for a car). However, they will almost always add a travel surcharge or service call-out fee, as this is not regulated. Always confirm the total price before booking. Find a mobile provider.
